Are law schools admissions just a numbers game?

When applying to college, you really only need to get a high SAT score and a high GPA and you are golden. Is this the same for LS admissions? Granted the applicant has a 3.5+ GPA couple with a high LSAT score.

I am a college freshman btw. Looking into a few career paths. Just want to know how admissions works.

Get straight A's in college and kill the LSAT and you can go to practically any school you want.

From what I've seen, at least, the long answer also appears to be "yes"...

mostly. if you're in the middle numerically for a school, the rest of your application might matter more than it would otherwise.

I disagree that college was a numbers game, although I suppose that depends on where you went.  My university certainly required more than GPA and SATs...you had to be pretty stellar extracurricularly, as well.

I agree with you on the law school point, however.  Absolutely 100% of all that matters is your GPA and LSAT, unless you are shooting for Yale.  Yale cares that you save the world, too.
