What does Tier 1 mean? There's a very wide range within that group of schools, if you're referring to the US News rankings.

Yea, it's a lower end Top 100 / Large Public. I used "Tier 1" to distinguish the fact that it isn't a directional school, small liberal arts, etc.

I'm sure you have quite a few "best shots" with a 4.0 gpa. Naturally the LSAT hurts your chances, but if you had a similarly less-than-stellar SAT score a few years back you can throw in an addendum about how your test scores are bad predictions of your academic success, since obviously you did just fine as an undergrad.

Not all is lost -- I got into UVA (ED) with those exact numbers (non-urm).  I didn't think I had a chance, but applied anyway because of a fee waiver.

You never know what might happen, so don't sell yourself short.  :)

That's great to hear. UVA is my top choice, but I'd all but given up hope. I'm actually not applying until next year, so I think I'll retake the LSAT in June or October and see what happens.
