ITT we discuss which firms are the safest places to accept offers

So with all the layoff talk, and Cravath's half-Skadden bonuses announced yesterday, things are sounding a little dire.  Are there any places that we can really consider "safe"?  Obviously this is going to be a lot of dumb law students speculating, but if people have actual info to share then it'll probably be greatly appreciated.

Trying to do something new here.  Let's see if it pans out.

Bankruptcy boutiques should be doing O.K. (can't think of any off the top of my head)

My completely speculative guesses:

WLRK (if they fail the world as we know it is ending)
Weil (they got a big chunk of the fallout work from the financial crisis)
Sussman Godfrey (high end plantiffs litigation)
Dewy Cheatum and Howe (will never die)

I'd say best way to do this is by geographic area.  Considering the only one I know anything about is Chicago, I'd say Kirkland is probably safe.  I think the other big boys there (Sidley, Winston, McDermott, Jenner, Mayer, etc.) will have some layoffs, but will otherwise survive.  The ones that have already done layoffs might not be forced to do anymore, presuming we start to see an upturn within a year.  I know absolutely nothing about the economy, so the year estimate is mere hope.
