I know how you feel. It was how I felt last year. I am going to argue it is one of the most important classes you are going to take though and after, it will be sooo much easier. Writing is a very important part of the legal work and you must be able to do it well.

I think writing classes, in their very nature, are boring and confusing. I believe the best way to be successful in this class is to talk to your professor as much as possible about the issues you are having with your assignment.

Hang in there, it will get better!

Please do not hate me for saying this . . . but i had to take legal writing for my paralegal certificate, which was taught my a Notre Dame legal writting prof.  The reason they have it taught by a law school prof is b/c it is to be just as the law school legal writing class is taught . . . anyway, I struggled and in one weekend read "plain english for lawyers" then went back to my studies, and it clarified alot and things started to make a little more sense.

I like doing legal writing. I HATED my legal writing class.

Don't let it get you down too much. Just 7 more months for you.

My legal writing is taught by a 3L.  Yep.  That's right.  A 3L.  THAT is crappy legal writing.

It's ok!!  And I love summary judgment.  Who needs juries anyway?!
