retake the LSAT and apply next year.

Not necessarily.  I had a lower GPA and a similar LSAT and still got in.  I think if the rest of the app is solid, it could happen.

Also, and you may not believe this, but there is actually a HUGE difference between a 166 and a 167.  A 167 is sort of like the secret, unspoken cutoff for most of the T14 (with a few exceptions).

I didn't study nearly enough for the LSAT, and I'm pretty sure that I could raise my score into the 170s with a bit more work.  With my GPA it seems like a waste to apply with a sub-par LSAT, but I'm not excited about taking a year off either.

You would admit that going ED helped a little though, right?

Yeah, don't go anywhere near the T20.  They're way too stressed down there.  Try to hang around CCNMVP at the lowest.

Dude. Please stop. Seriously. Please?

Ugh . . . I have friends at non-T14 schools and I see their FB status updates on a regular basis.  Someone like reez would be the first to admit that it's stressful as hell in the T20 -- not that it's a party at my school.

And, yeah, Boalt places very well.  CCNMVP is kind of a robotic designation.  Sorry if I dissed your school again.  (Total accident, I swear.)

I'm not talking any Boalt dissing. I'm talking about telling people not to "go anywhere near the T20." Seriously. Or you can present it in a way that is not totally dismissive and rude.

I guess.  I'm pretty stressed and this is an online forum.  I don't feel bound by a sense of etiquette that stringent.

That said, I'm willing to man up and apologize to anyone if I did genuinely offend them.

On an unrelated note, does the DoJ (or SEC, or even EPA) provide housing for interns?  I don't expect free housing, but I hear it's very tough to find places in DC.

given you're at a t12, how many lsat questions do you think you were away from a t20? like three?
