Ok, so there's this graduate student at my univeristy who says she graduated from Seattle Law School in 06. I'm convinced she's lying for numerous reasons, is there anyway to check?

Why do you care? How would we know?

Use Google. Or physically go to the registrar, though privacy considerations would probably forbid them from telling you anything.

I'm sure I shouldn't care, but she is constantly doling out advice that doesn't make any sense and putting it in people’s faces. She has taken to saying she "majored in environmental law" among other things. I understand confidentiality, I just wasn't sure if there was a way to find out.

Yeah, some people are obnoxious and can't be helped. What can ya do?

Actually, the school might be able to tell you if she graduated.  It is considered directory information and not covered by FERPA.  You could also look on the school's website for a commencement list.

I think the point is that it doesn't matter whether she graduated or not and that going through this trouble would make one a creepshow.
