Congrats to the successful GA bar takers!
Not to put a damper on things, but isn't there a swearing-in ceremony in GA (eligibility for which, in addition to a law dean's certification of degree, passing the bar and meeting the state's MPRE minimum, requires certification by the character and fitness committee...)?
Then you'll be a lawyer.
Congratulations, Jacy! You may not realize but you've helped me a lot over the last year (I've changed my name [if that wasn't obvious by the new name!]).
Wish you the very best; now, you're a lawyer!
Thanks everyone! It does feel great.
And yes, there are still a few more requirements - we have to get sworn in (my school is offering a special reception/ceremony in 2 weeks, and I know a lot of people go to the Ga. Supreme Ct and get sworn in. And *then* we have to register with the GA bar (and presumably get our Bar #s). After that, we're finally lawyers and can officially practice law.
That's all small potatoes though, compared to the bar exam!
