List of Most Painless Apps
« on: October 30, 2008, 02:29:51 PM »
Okay, so after filling out a ton of apps, I've noticed there are some serious differences between schools. Some of their applications are a pain in the ass--UCLA, I'm looking at you--and some are a breeze. This is my list of the easiest applications I've encountered.

In Order:
1. Chicago
2. GULC
3. Penn
4. WUSL

Any others belong on this list, or it's mirror "Most Painful Apps" ?

Honorable mention to Harvard. The app is long, with a lot of Resume questions, but at least it is clear, with lots of space and easy to read.

How is Penn painless?  They require that "why Penn" essay.  Easy is Virginia

Must agree with the Penn opinion - extra essay automatically makes it a nuisance to me.

Virginia, Chicago, Georgetown, and UT were each straightforward.

I agree with all of the above - W&L is also easy if you don't do the optional essay (though who knows how "optional" it actually is)

UCLA......ugh......that's the reason I didn't apply there, I was going to. Vandy isnt too hard from what I remember.
Best of luck to everyone!

Why is UCLA so bad?  I just took a look at the application checklist and it seems pretty straightforward.  Am I missing something?

they way it has spaces for every letter is a huge nuisance, imo

I agree about the "Why Penn" essay, but their application form itself doesn't waste my time.

So where would you put W&L? 2, 3, 5, 9?
