Hi all. I'm in a bit of a pickle here, but I hoped you folks might have some advice. I'm currently employed (for a little over a year) with a fine foreign company, but I'm afraid of asking my employer for a LOR. I'm technically contracted for another year's worth of work, but my recent LSAT score is encouraging me to apply for 2009. These employment contracts are hardly binding (I would give appropriate notice), but I don't think I can break it and still expect my boss to come through with an LOR.
So what can I do? I've been doing a good job here, I'm at middle management level, and I don't want to think of the last year and a half as a waste. Would it be OK to get a co-worker to write an LOR without the higher management's knowledge?
