Contacting Office of Admissions
« on: October 21, 2008, 08:28:26 PM »
I would like to contact the admissions office of the schools to which I am applying to introduce myself and schedule campus visits. Any suggestions on how to leave a good 1st impression and what are some questions that I need to ask?

Not sure about that, but I can't wait to meet you at the end of the season.  I'm a Gator.

- Be nice to everyone - including the secretary in the office.  Make sure they are making good comments about you, not bad ones after you leave the office.

- Introduce yourself to the admissions people if you can, but don't be pushy.  I was pushy only after I was waitlisted last year.

- Ask smart questions - show that this school is a priority and you've thought about things.  Don't ask dumb obvious questions.
