I am trying to write my PS, and I'm trying to write in the past continuous tense (I was..we were...). Is this acceptable?

If you're writing about events that happened in the past, I would say it is. It doesn't make sense to write it like it's currently happening.

Yea, I use the passive voice like it's my job sometimes. I always have to watch that habit.

Yea, I think we did talk about it awhile ago. I am talking about my experience working at a certain job (I was a relay operator for the deaf - basically connecting deaf people with hearing people) and how it changed my perspective. I don't know. It was hard to figure something out...
