Why Loyola Chicago Essay-Helllllp
« on: October 18, 2008, 08:44:39 PM »
I'm currently working on my essay for "Why LUCSL" one page essay and I am so stuck. I'm at a Jesuit school for undergrad and I don't know how far I should go into that. It does inform much of why I want to apply there...I'm interested in going into a public interest/social justice field which as most of us are aware is the Jesuit forte. I guess what I'm asking is whether talking a lot about the Jesuit draw factor will make me seem too crazy religious. I mean, it's not really even about the Catholic part for me, more about the social justice stuff. So stuck. So lost.

Just be honest.  It's because you couldn't get into U. Chicago.

Do not be a d&^%.

OP, just be honest. If you are coming from a Jesuit school and you want to continue at a Jesuit school--well, tell them why. I'm sure they'll be receptive.
