Addendum -- family circumstances?
« on: October 11, 2008, 05:58:35 PM »
Is it worth writing an addendum about caring for a parent who was sick through much of college and eventually passed away before my senior year? My GPA was pretty consistent from semester-to-semester, but perhaps these circumstances are addendum-worthy?

Thanks for the advice.

If your family circumstances caused no discernible change in your academic work, then what would you really be addressing?  ??? The adcomms don't need to hear about it unless a)it had an untoward effect on your record, and/or b)you want to use the experience as fodder for a PS.

Not addendum worthy if it did not affect your grades.

Perhaps PS worthy if it changed your outlook on life.
