Why "X" Essays
« on: October 10, 2008, 08:03:57 PM »
How is everyone approaching these essays?

Doing research on programs that fit your interests and noting how your experiences make you a good fit?  Just merely stating interest in specific courses/clinics/professors?

I have a little bit of both in my essays, but it doesn't seem like i'm addressing not only what the school has to offer but what I would bring to the school.

What's the proper approach in your opinion?  Thanks!

Last cycle, I focused on everything you've mentioned...  plus the location. If a school believes you love WHERE it is, they will be much more confident that you will attend if admitted.
Vandy 1L... really?
