LOR from Graduate Student (TA)

Would it be appropriate for me to ask my Spanish Professor (who is actually a Graduate Student) to write me a letter of reccomendation. I have taken her for two classes and she knows me very well along with my academic performance. I already have 2 letters from Professors, but since some schools I am applying to require 3 would her letter be appropriate? Keep it mind, they are lower division courses (Spanish 1 and 2) I recieved an A in spanish 1 and am currently taking Spanish 2 and have gotten A's on everything so far.

It's about quality. If she can write you a great LOR, then go for it.

So even though she is not a Professor but a Graduate Student that is still ok?

And the fact that it is a Spanish class and not a course in my Major (polisci) or a law related course. Would that reflect negativly upon me?

No it doesn't matter, as long as they can speak about your academic ability

Another point to consider, though, is how much experience, if any, this person has had writing LORs. I was considering asking an associate poli-sci prof for a letter, and it was suggested to me that oftentimes younger/newer individuals simply aren't aware of the particular tenor that is appropriate for a LOR. Not that such an individual wouldn't or couldn't write a great letter, and if this professor knows you well it seems an excellent choice--but you might want to be more forthcoming about exactly what sorts of things should be addressed.
