Button-down collars?  You want a braided belt with that?  Come on man get real.  My favorite DRESS shirts have no pockets, and a fairly wide spread.  Nothing too wide - then you'll start looking British.  Button-down collars are what Al Gore wears to look hip.  Leave 'em at the yacht club.

Back on topic, OCBD is casual and paired with a tie will get you laughed at by people who know better.  You might as well wear a tie with a polo.
