Do the Princeton Review free diags use real LSATs?

Few people believe that Princeton Review free diags use real LSATs.

Kaplan free diags are not real LSATs. 

Real LSATs are finely crafted over a period of years before they are released.

Fake ones simply are not representative of the ones you will encounter on your test, so they are a waste of time.

Fortunately you can take a real one with you to the Kaplan session, and thus still have the benefit of 'test conditions' while taking a real exam.

I am simply trying to find out whether the Princeton Review, which also offers free diags, uses real or fake LSATs so I can advise a student who is signed up to take one this Saturday.

This board used to be a place to find such information.

True, the Kaplan ones aren't real, but all the questions are from real LSAT tests. I get the feeling they're a bit harder than the norm (just from my experience), but you would be answering real LSAT questions from them.

Who told you they're real?

They lied.

I am looking at a Kaplan 'LSAT' that was handed out two weeks ago, and they are all fake.

You realize I'm talking about the free diags they administer as a sales pitch, right? 

The classroom materials have been real for the last year or so, after decades of using fake ones.

They give the June 07 PT. 4 sections, no experimental

They give the June 07 PT. 4 sections, no experimental

When I was there, my office gave either PT 32 or 36 plus an experimental.

I teach for TPR.

TPR has moved towards using either a 4-section, no experimental version of the June 2007 LSAT as a free practice test, or a 5-section version that has a TPR-written experimental section, but otherwise consists of the four scored sections of June 2007 test.

(Why they'd do the latter escapes me, but that's another conversation).

That being said, EarlCat's right in noting that offices used to usually use PT 32, 34, or 36. So, while most offices will probably be using one of those two versions of the June 07 test, some offices may still be using 32/34/36, complete with an experimental section pulled from some other LSAC-created LSAT.

In all cases, all the scored stuff would be from a real PT.
