I'm just starting up as a 1L, so I just thought I'd drop a note about a project I've been working on.
I got sick of going back to my massive federal rules book every time I needed to look up Civ Pro rule 4(k)(1), so I wrote a couple of web apps for iPhone and iPod Touch that contain the various sets of federal rules, divided into civ pro, crim pro, etc..
You flip through the rules just like the songs in your iTunes playlist, and I've found it to be pretty helpful so far in class. Plus my iPod is a little lighter to take to class.
It's all public information, so they're free to use (you just need a WiFi connection or phone service), so it beats buying a whole book if you don't have to.
Check them out at
www.thelawpod.comI'm still working on a bunch of them to improve the interface, so I would love any comments or suggestions. Just trying to make this whole law school thing a little less hectic
