What to do with my recommender?
« on: September 11, 2008, 06:43:07 PM »
I asked my recommender to write me a letter in the middle of August, and he was really nice and agreed.

It's nearing the middle of September and I haven't heard anything else from him. Should I do anything at all? Or will he come to me when he's ready?

Any help is greatly appreciated, I don't want to do anything to aggravate my prof.

Thanks! :)

It might help to kindly remind him. Profs get distracted when school starts and stuff
awkward follows you like a beer chasing a shot of tequila.

I would definitely kindly remind him.

You can e-mail him and talk about how your started to fill out law school applications and was wondering if he needed any further information for his letter of rec, etc.

thank him profusely for taking the time to help you, etc. etc.

Definitely say something.
