They are very heavy on IP litigation.  Their summer program is typically 8 weeks long, though you're paid for 10, and among other things, includes a litigation "boot camp."

Howrey is cheap on bonuses, they changed their bonus structure from lock-step to performance based (aka how you stack up against your peers), which creates a very unhealthy, competitive atmosphere. Overall, Howrey is an "average" BigLaw firm.  They represented Boston Scientific and got destroyed at trial in the Eastern District of Texas. Verdict was against Boston Scientific in the billion-figure!  It's safe to say that Boston Scientific has fired Howrey.

What are you talking about?  Howrey is none of my business, but you should get your facts right.  The initial award was $250 million, not billion, and that has been cut to $19 million with appeal pending.
