What to do if no-offered 1L year?

How does one handle call back interviews and questions if they were no offered by a firm during their 1L summer?  The firm no offered over a 1/3 of the class, but it still is a pain in the ass to deal with during interviews if and when it comes up.

Any advice?

idk, the firm didn't have the means to accommodate all the 1L's and provide them with offers.
