Any info on Lubbock andTexas Tech Law?

Is Texas Tech a tier two school?
Does anyone really like/dislike lubbock or the law school. Just trying to find more about the school that is not on their website.

Texas Tech is tier three.

Lubbock is awful.

Texas Tech is an ok Texas law school. Lubbock is pretty "out there" geographically, but it's not a bad school at all if you're from Texas and you want to stay in Texas and practice in Texas. Probably a notch above South Texas but still below SMU, Houston, Baylor.

If you prefer a conservative lifestyle, Lubbock might be for you. I hated Lubbock.

They just opened a huge addition to their law school. New courtroom, classrooms, etc. I think it's a good school, and if you network well you can get a decent job coming out of it.

That said, visit Lubbock and see if you like it; because if you can't break into the Dallas market, you're decent job may be in Odessa, Midland, Amarillo, or somewhere else in west Texas.

i actually am a 1L here at ttu this year. i had a couple of choices as to where i wanted to attend school (some actually ranked higher than tech); however, i am EXTREMELY pleased with my decision to attend school here. i'm a big city girl, so i was concerned about the transition to lubbock, but it hasnt been as bad as i was expecting. i absolutely love the people up here, as well as the school itself, and i couldn't be happier (of course, we'll see if i'm still whistling the same tune once finals come around)! feel free to message me if you have questions about tech and lubbock!! : )
