working for a company with no legal dept

can you work as a law intern for a company with no attorney on board- instead you would working with outside counsel as to what can be done internally?

no that is not what i am asking. I am asking if it is ok to work as an intern for a company without the direction of an attorney. Would that be considered as the practice of law.

My question to you is if this place doesn't have a legal department, and there are NO other lawyers there, why in the world are you considering working there?  What sort of legal experience will you possibly get if there are no other lawyers there?
