I don't know and I don't much care. Minimum billables are a poor indicator of how much work you will do. My group's hours are roughly comparable to US groups in the other City firms. the only reason i ever wanted to go biglaw is the Boston Legal experience. To make the big bucks I'm becoming a talent agent.

About how many hours of work = 1 billable hour (roughly)?

It's not really that simple.  You can easily work 1 hour and bill 1 hour. You lose time during all the non-billable stuff that goes on during a given day.
