Been a long time, friends.  Just wanted to commemorate the 2 year anniversary of our epic Exile get together.

Also, in that spirit, I met another LSDer from way back past (like, the year ahead of me).  Weirdly, she's dating one of my IRL friends.

People need to come back more often, like daily. This place is being overrun by dbags, and not even the entertaining kind like Xman.

Oh yeah, the legal community is tiny.  I've had the experience of one of my other friends being IRL friends with another LSDer and that same LSDer is BFFs with a guy who will be at my firm.  It's been quite surreal.

I think a lot of the recent lamo dirtbag posts are from paid to post services Andrew hired.  There are a bunch of companies/internet groups/organizations of people that will pose as legit users (paid professional discussion board posters, yes it's a real job title!) to get posting volume up and conversations going about the topics of the board.  It's how Andrew got LSD going way back in the beginning and it seems he has gone back to that strategy since site activity died over the last few years while TLS grew.  As I see it, the main reason LSD died and TLS grew is because the search function works on TLS and their site hasn't been down or messed up with all sorts of ongoing tech issues/problems like LSD has been for several years due to Andrew being negligent.

Yeah, that would sure be nice. I've even considered signing up with one of these outfits that hires people to troll the comments sections on pages like HuffPo. I guess they get pretty good money.
