Spring semester be hardest ever?

I know that's the standard line, but I'm feeling like this might actually be true...and it hasn't even started yet. 1L = elaborate hazing.

TITCR,  I was saying that exact same thing to my LS dorm mate at the end of 1L first semester and into the 2nd.

It's not only 1L though, it's all 3 years and then another hazing with the bar exam and then more on and on.

Basically, becoming a lawyer and getting all the rewards of being one (with the final goal of having a good stable job that pays decently well that you enjoy and that lets you have a personal life/family life too while doing it all) is like trying to join an exclusive private country club you want into that has a hierarchy of subset preliminary clubs you have to earn your way into one by one to keep climbing the levels.

Got grades back.

Range from pleasantly surprised to stunned.

I guess I'm not going to fail out after all. And I might actually get a job. Rejoice!

I'd love to join this LGBT club.  It's the Legos, Gobots, Barbies, and other Toys group, right?  I'll show up with an armful of toys.

Pardon Johnny Cash.

So I ran into an old friend who's now a lawyer and graduated from the law school here.  I said to her "it's great to see you, how long are you in town" and gave her a hug.   She turned out to be a girl from my class.  With make up on, she's a dead ringer for my friend.  She's very reserved and proper.  I have never felt so awkward in my whole life.  I explained that I thought she was someone else.  That probably just added to the awkwardness.
