Contemplating skipping tonight's pub thing because it's raining and I don't feel like walking in the rain. Is that a valid excuse?

Absolutely.  Who wants to walk in the rain and get all wet?  That is not fun.

I went. I had fun. Good beer was served (Blue Moon FTW!). Oh, and I got a ride there and back so there was no walking in the rain to be had

The hardest thing so far, other than feeling like an idiot in class, is my stupid ungraded memo I'm "working" on right now.

The hardest thing so far, other than feeling like an idiot in class, is my stupid ungraded memo I'm "working" on right now.

Legal writing will be the hardest thing all year, its such a time waste, but about the only 1L class that you really use for anything work realted. The rest of the shnit you learn this year you can forget till bar exam time, then forget forever. But legal writing you will use everyday.

This makes me feel less like a fool for working so hard on it.

I ended up am juring LWR and I think the ONLY reason why was because I’m dyslexic I have had to always spend twice as much time proofing as I do writing. So I could never afford to wait to the last minute, I had to get my briefs and memos done way before the deadline so I had time to edit for at least several days. I think the amount of time spent editing over the writing was why I did so well. If you can force yourself to do the writing before its deadline, at least for me, it makes LRW much easier. Also the Redbook helps a lot. My school is 3 credits LWR and 3 credits Contracts, CIV Pro, Torts (each semester).  So LRW counts as much as any other class here except con law that was 4 credits one semester and property that was four credits one semester.
