What are your thoughts on these two transactional practice areas, with particular emphasis on real estate development vs. corporate governance/securities compliance at a large law firm?

thats what makes it a good time to be a litigator. real estate lawyer generally means transactional. If you are talking big firm stuff, the kinds of real estate litigation that is going on is not the kind that you would be doing.
