Offered $$ not to transfer?

I asked for (and was offered) some scholarship money not to transfer (from a top 20 to Boalt - still waiting to hear from HSY). Has anyone else had this experience? What kinds of offers did you get? It adds a new wrinkle to my decision making process. thanks.

I asked for (and was not offered) scholarship money not to transfer (from a top 25 to Boalt).  I heard some students in the last transfer cycle at my school got a little money though - I believe it was between 5-10k.

yeah, i would consider it. in my market, where i'm at is almost as good as boalt - but i'm feeling like a chump paying full private tuition when 90% of the class gets aid and I'm in the top 2-3%

Nope. My school really didn't care one way or the other, but told me I could apply for a scholarship "along with everyone else" after the fall semester begins.

Hypothetically (and I do mean hypothetically) - would you take 25K/year to stay at a top 20 over Stanford/Harvard/Yale transfer?

Any thoughts appreciated
