how long should LOR's be

My recommender asked approximate length - i had no idea.  what do you guys think.

Around a page, probably no more. Has your recommender never wrote a LOR? I mean, even I've wrote a couple.

not for law school.  its not a professor (i've been out of school for over ten years)

Fair enough. Non-professor types probably don't get hit up to do this much. I've personally only had to write a few for friends for jobs.

Law schools don't want a book, just an endorsement and a few summary points, in paragraph form, of course. A page should be plenty.
