Is Anyone Else REALLY Bored Before School Starts?
« on: July 01, 2008, 11:58:56 PM »
When I get to work, I look at the calendar and count the days until school starts -- or, more accurately, until I move to New York's little brother.

At home, I spend most of my time reading books about esoteric subjects -- random wars like the Sinai Campaign, Lorrie Moore's Self-Help, Salt, Elizabeth Warren's polemics about the middle-class.  Once in a while, I watch an obscure foreign movie, or find something from early American cinema like Lost Weekend.  Youtube music videos and LS daydreaming and errands fill up the rest of my time.

It would be nice to know that I'm not the only one.

ETA: There's a squirrel outside.  This could get interesting.
Yep.

That's one of those gray areas we'll learn about in law school I think...

A fork in the facts if you will...

Nah, you can keep it up...

Just didn't want the pathetic details of my personal life out there too long...

I have very little shame, but more than no shame...

I think Jon Stewart's book allows one to dress the SCOTUS....

They are all naked to begin with before the reader clothes them...

Maybe I'm just getting a little emotional as this cycle comes to an end/maybe I've finally flew over the cuckoo's nest...but I hope we stay in contact and get to rehash the trials of 1L on here together a year from now...

I hope we get to look back on all of this and laugh about how much of a basketcase you were for nothing...

and I hope we're both federal judges for our respective federations one day...

I'm bored.

I find my self caring about my crappy retail job less and less with each passing day.

I bought 6 seasons of king of the hill yesterday... I'm midway through season 2 right now.

Sure life's boring right now...I work at a hospital 36 hours a week and the only vacation I can get is to my hometown in Appalachian.

But I am still nervous about going to law school and am trying to enjoy this free time I have by reading novels and going out with friends. I know I am going to miss not having to care about things so I'm living it up now.
