probably an obvious question

probably an obvious question

i'm just starting the lsac process, so sorry if this is really obvious.  the part on your general lsac profile that says "rank", i'm assuming it's asking for my individual rank within my class?  if so, i have nooo idea of my rank from undergrad or high school.  would this be on a transcript somewhere, or how do i find it?

thank you so much!

It's not always necessary, I didn't have my rank, your GPA should be fine. Although if you really want to find out you may be able to get it from the schools directly.

Some schools don't rank, so you might not even have a rank to report.

Often you can get your rank by going to your university registrar's office. I didn't even know my school ranked until I started the law school application process. Quite an interesting feeling, knowing exactly where you stand in the class (my high school did not rank at all so it's my first time being a number!)
