3.3/top 15%...on a 3.2 curve
« on: June 27, 2008, 08:45:13 PM »
I'm looking at various employers' hiring criteria on symplicity and it will say 3.3 GPA, top 15%, law review preferred, etc. My school's cut-off for top 15% is like 3.7.

Why do the firms give such anomalous criteria?

hmmm, that is a little odd. I have only seen a % requirement from employers. GPA is so arbitrary. I wouldn't worry about it. Ultimately it will be the rank they look at.
