Reading glasses?

this may seem a little odd, but i've been wondering about this for some time now...i was wondering if it would be a good idea to have my eyes checked out before school starts and potentially getting some reading glasses that'll make the text a little bigger?  for someone who has been fortunate enough not to need eyeglasses, i'm wondering if a little magnification would help out at all?  has anyone on this board started using reading glasses when they started law school?

I've known people who've used reading glasses during law school. My eye doctor actually told me that they've had some people get laser eye repair before med & law school so they can just  wear reading glasses when necessary. He also recommended a good lamp.
