The 2008-2009 Cycle Personal Statement Exchange
« on: June 16, 2008, 06:57:14 PM »
Haldo, all,
I was looking for some second opinions on my personal statements (Trying to choose which one to use and how to polish it), and I thought that one of the best ways to do that would be to start a group that would work together...Depending on the number of people who participate, we could all read each other's statements and comment...Via PM or an external board, of course.  Don't want to post those on here for public consumption.   Anyway, if you're interested, toss a reply on here and I'll get things started...

I'm interested.  I haven't started writing mine but this group will be good motivation and help.

I am so very interested in this idea. I just spent an hour cutting from mine, and I'm liking where it's going.

I think an external, very private, board would be good. Especially if everyone agreed to give good comments on at least X number of personal statements.

PS: Natapolis, I would also be up for exchanging with you if this doesn't work out.

Certainly...external boards aren't hard to set up at all.  That being said, if there are less than 5 of us, it's more practical to use PMs here.  I'll give it another day or so and see if anyone else is interested.

yeah I'm definately interested. I also haven't started writing yet, though I expect to start here in the next week or so. So if you don't mind that I'll be later than some of the others submitting, I'd be more than happy to join and give constructive criticism until mine is done!

I'm very interested, although I haven't even decided on a topic yet.

i am interested but probably won't have anything in readable form until mid-late September once I've decided whether to pull the trigger on this cycle or not.

Forum posted and opened!  That's fine for both of you, as long as you don't mind commenting on the rest of our stuff now!   ;D
