# of Waitlists norm?

That many waitlists suck, I applied to 13 schools and got absolutely zero waitlists, not sure what that means if anything.  I think my case my be stranger than numerous waitlists.

And as an applicant, I'd rather be waitlisted then rejected. At least you're still in the hunt if you're on the list. Granted you might be pruned out of the bottom of the list if that's where you are, but at least you have a shot.

I'm not so sure about this. on one hand it's nice to be in the hunt... BUT if i were outright rejected at least i would know where the hell i'm moving in a little over a month.
