No, I used the term to describe the financial aid package my school has provided me with...

I received it, filled out a bunch of paperwork, online counseling, etc and then returned the completed forms to my school...

I emailed them to confirm they had everything and they said yes but that's as far as its gotten thus far...

Sorry for the disconnect. I was using it the same way. Basically, if the gradplus loan is in your financial aid package, does that mean the credit check had already been done and you're good to go?

Not that way I interpret it but I don't have much experience with it.  Schools can offer you GradPlus loans, but you still have to qualify for them...

And I believe the credit check takes place after you return the paperwork (telling the school what loans you want)...

In other words, they don't pre-qualify your loans; they qualify them when you apply for them and you don't apply for them until you accept them (by returning the paperwork)...

But again, I could be wrong...
