study abroad
« on: May 27, 2008, 07:29:34 PM »
I'll be starting my first year this Fall and plan on doing a JD/MBA degree in 4 years and I am thinking about focusing on international business. How beneficial would a semester abroad or summer program be? Also how potentially  disruptive would one of these programs be on the law school/business school course timeline? Thanks.

Oh and if anyone would like to share study abroad experiences that would be awesome.

Going summer after your first or second year wouldn't cause a problem at all if your program is 4 yrs (like my school's JD/MBA program).  You won't be doing your "traditional" 2L summer associate type position (assuming you take this route) until the summer after your third year.  So one summer abroad shouldn't cause problems.
