"Princeton Review ranked Northwestern Law #1 in "career prospects""
Oh please. Are you seriously suggesting that Northwestern law graduates have better career opportunities than Yale, Stanford and Harvard grads?! Princeton Review is a bit of a joke.
Depends on what they mean by "career prospects." I'm not sure, but I'm guessing a lot of that figure has to do with average starting salaries. I read somewhere that, since so many more HYS students do clerkships and public-interest work, the average salary made by grads is lower. (Notice NU, Chicago, and Michigan are all
ranked higher than Harvard.) If you factored out clerks, academics, and public-interest attorneys, and focused only on, say, big-firm prospects for NU grads vs. SLS grads, the SLS prestige would probably prove to carry more weight.
