I'll be on my husband's plan when I quit my job.

FYI:  I used to work part-time for an insurance agent. Unicare tends to have the cheapest rates, and are the most lenient with pre-existing conditions (though thats not really saying much). Aetna started some plan last fall aimed at twenty-somethings that is supposed to be low cost.

I've got an interesting situation.  My father is US Army, Retired.  As his son, I'm covered under Tricare (which freaking rocks) until I turn 25.  So, I'll be covered for 1L, 2L, and half of 3L (January birthday).  I'll have to figure something out then.

However, in the meantime, I need to get something from the registrar's office proving I'll be a student until 2011...

I don't have insurance, I consider it a form of gambling.  ;)

I'm on private insurance between UG and LS. It's very, very cheap.

Every time I'm ordering my contacts for the year and seeing how much it costs, I'm like "Ok this is the year I'm gonna get Lasik. Oh, but I just bought a year's worth of contacts so I'll just wait..."

I got new glasses this year and it was $700 for the glasses & lenses.  :o

TITCR.  I feel really bad for doing this, but I can't afford insurance.

Um, what if you get cancer?  Or you break your arm studying?  Or, like me, you use a nasal spray for seasonal allergies?  I like health insurance...

I love it.

I went through three years of UG without insurance and never got sick once.  *knocks on wood*

I should probably get it for LS since I might not be so lucky.

They will probably make you get it...and if you get outside insurance, it has to come with psychological counseling...bc apparently, some people actually use it  :-\
