2L Grades: vent here if necessary
« on: May 14, 2008, 11:21:21 AM »

I know its too early for most people to comment on this, but is anyone else as disappointed in their 2L grades as I am in mine? Why didn't I take more seminars?

I hope my firm doesn't care THAT much about my significant dip in GPA. One of the only reasons I snagged an associateship last summer was due to a freakishly good 1L second semester...but since then I haven't come close to recreating that past performance. My first semester 2L year I thought my grades were impacted by my callback schedule, so I wrote it off...but I'm doing just as poorly this semester as I did last semester sans any excuse.

If this comes back in the form of a cold/no offer this summer, I am absolutely going to flip out.

I just graduated, but I can tell you seminars are not the pancrea that some people make them out to be.  I assumed I would get all A's in seminars, but instead I usually got grades similar to what I got in curved classes.

panacea = cure all

a pancrea just looks like half of the thing that makes insulin.

Just curious.
