Offered a job at Ernst & Young, BUT....

I was offered a job and I accepted, but I'm worried about the firm's extensive background check which occurs after they hire.  My credit rating is fair - I've got a huge law school debt load and I defaulted (but completely paid off)a undergrad school loan several years ago.  Do you think this will prevent me from working at E&Y?

Thanks.  I've recently been hearing some negative things about E&Y.  The interview process went rather quickly and the people seemed really cool.  I'm interested in the specific work as well.  What have you heard about them?

i assume you'll be in their tax division. if so, you'll be cranking out returns for at least 2 years. pretty mind numbing. seems like a waste of a JD and bar card, unless of course you dig tax law. you can specialize in something like SALT down the road i suppose.
