Currently on Waitlist......Q about LOCI

Currently on Waitlist......Q about LOCI
« on: May 04, 2008, 04:59:52 AM »
i am currently on waitlist at a cetain school.
I sent the LOCI on April 7. Since then, i have not heard from the school.
I was wondering if is a good strategy to send a second LOCI to school?
Let me know..Frankly, i do not have any new thing to say..however,
i want to do something about it...

I would say it's a little early.  The Ivey article (there's a thread/link about it on here somewhere- you should definitely look for it) says to send in a LOCI every month or so.  I think anything more gets a little excessive.  If you are graduating soon, maybe wait and add your final grades.

I think limegreen is right. The exception would be if you have new information that is very relevant to their decisions.

It has been almost a month for you, though, so maybe in the next week you should send a letter simply reiterating your desire to go to this school, maybe two paragraphs.

I only send something when I have an addition to make. I think sending a LOCI every month without anything substantive to add other than "I still really want to go to your school" has got to be annoying.

Having said that, I am beating the bushes for substantive things to add. Of course, every communication from them is also a chance to reiterate your interest.
