This time around I will be studying from late June until the October test date.

I will still be working so my daily study hours will be relatively low but over time I think I can make some magic happen.

I suppose there are other threads on this board I will review.

But what is the general consensus on self-taught LSAT prep books?

Oh, wow.  There's a lot of room for improvement.  If you had the intelligence to matriculate at Yale for undergraduate and earn a 3.5, you definitely have 170 potential.

No.

Two useful indicators will be his SAT score and diagnostic LSAT score.  The average Yale undergrad probably gets like a 163 or something, so being from Yale hardly guarantees a 170.

No.

What do you mean, no?

I mean that a 3.5 at Yale does not guarantee 170+ potential.

Guys,

I appreciate the discussion, it's very compelling.

[Aside: my Yale history degree has gotten me entry into a lucrative financial sector job, but it's just not a good fit for my skill set.  Not intellectually rewarding enough]

SO, I am going to retake the LSAT.

But for NOW:

What would be the 5 best northeastern/Mid-atlantic schools I could get in to?

UMass?  They don't have a law school.

Which is BLS?

HA!

I would take those any day.  But I need 170+ to give them a shot.
