IT seems like the BEST, most relevant answer to this question is:

Because I was born privileged, from a privileged background, or inherited status, and I think that it's not fair to implement a program that levels the playing ground/works to provide equal opportunity for those who were born disadvantaged, or from a history of disadvantage.

If you're talking about obama, you're half right.  (He started wearing the pin recently.  Maybe his hatred of the country is wearing off.)
