Hey maybe my #'s weren't quite good enough? I've got a 166 and 3.4, and still haven't heard. At this point I've gotta believe I'm getting waitlisted (haven't heard yet)... I thought these were good enough to get me in- WTF? Iguess I might have been a little too confident, but getting waitlisted at Texas made me think I'd probably get in (and I've worked in Dallas at a law firm for the whole year since graduation from undergrad)

I think the first legit waitlist appeared on LSN this afternoon so I am expecting one in the mail sometime soon. A 166/3.4 waitlist seems insane. You must've either applied really late or done some hardcore drugs/alcohol in UG.  ;)

Went complete in the first week of Feb- I'm pretty sure it was Feb 6th.

Maybe they know how much I was bashing their laziness to get me a decision on this site- if they put me on the waitlist, that's ridiculous, at least if LSN is a representative sample- people with numbers right around me were even getting scholarship offers

Yeah I had a few infractions- all alcohol though- no drugs or actually bad things like assault- just college drinking

Ouch I was just kidding but that sucks if that really is why there is a holdup. I'm a Cowboys fan too so I can't blame you for wanting to drink the past few years.

I doubt it has anything to do with what you've said on the forum though. They seem to have been pretty busy over the last few weeks/months so I doubt they've had time to paruse the boards and matchup people with their applications.

Thanks Diet

If I get waitlisted or rejected, I'm going over to the school and talking to the person in charge of admissions to demand an explanation

no no- I'll be polite, but I do think it is warranted given my numbers

I was just accepted on the 24th by voicemail (which I didn't get until the 27th because I was in Puerto Vallarta). Talk about a great welcome home gift!

But-- now I'm concerned about this more deposits than seats thing (I'm mailing mine today). If more people do not withdraw, is it possible that they'll have to revoke acceptances to the class or will they just expand their capacity? Is it a good idea for me to then NOT withdraw from my second choice in case SMU pulls my acceptance?
