Have any of you guys read it? I just finished it on Sat, it was quite an interesting read. What did you think?

Do you think it has merit, or just fiction?

Fiction, and cheesy, campy fiction at that.

How is it different than Holy Blood, Holy Grail, or Foucault's Pendulum for that matter?

It's not.  From what I understand, the authors of Holy Blood, Holy Grail sued Brown because (they allege) he seems to have lifted whole chapters of their (bogus) research out and put them in dialogue form.

Angels and Demons is better.

I disagree. I think there are a lot of extraneous things happening in Angels and Demons but not in the DaVinci code.

Foucault's Pendulum was better, but not an easy read. Rule of Four was a fun read and nicely tied in. The Eight didn't do it for me at all. I think I've read at least 10 books on this "theory" recently.

I'm on to Dante theories now. If you like the DaVinci Code, you'll also like The Dante Club. It's hard to get in to, but once you do, it's very worth it.
