How do you guys get away with it?

Two days ago I was at work posting on this site and talking to thechoson about my Jessica Simpson avatar. Suddenly, without warning, one of the partners of the firm walks in. He stops and looks at my computer screen, and then looks and me, and looks at the screen again. He had originally come to tell me to interview a client. When I was done with the interview, he called me on the phone and told me that he didn’t want to see me on the internet again and that I need to keep myself busy by trying to maximize the efficiency of my job.

Now, if it was the policy of the firm to prohibit casual surfing of the internet, I would be totally fine with that. However, EVERYONE at the firm surfs the web at work. I see people on gossip sites, checking NBA scores, visiting The Onion, etc. How come I get a talking to but others don’t? So I spent yesterday drafting this outline of common employment law statutes and violations. It was basically pointless busy work.

It was such a long and rough day without my LSD. Seriously, I don’t think I can function at work without this site. I can’t believe its ONLY noon right now. How do you guys do it? How do you guys get away with posting at work? Please give me tips. I need my LSD FIX!!!

getting busted by your boss at work sucks.  but it helps when you work at my job and have nothing to do for half the day.
