3.0 GPA / 160 LSAT Good Enough?
« on: September 04, 2002, 01:06:16 PM »
I am a minority applicant with a 3.0 GPA and a 160 LSAT.  Is that good enough to get into Seattle University School of Law?

Yes, those scores should be good enough regardless of your racial status (they are certainly better than mine).  The 75th percentile rank for Seattle is 158/3.49, so your LSAT is above that, you'll have to explain why your gpa is so low, it really doesnt match your LSAT perfromance.  Perhaps you had a difficult major, or went to a tough undergrad school.  With regard to your minority status, that will only help you, since most school advertise that they seek a "diverse" class.  My own opinions on affirmative action aside, you may want to consider applying to a higher ranked school.

160 and 3.0 are beautiful next to each other...definitely an appealing candidate..
