Some schools specifically say what they want in terms of indentifying info on the PS and resume, but what about schools that don't say anything? Should I put my name and ssn to be safe or do they for some reason want that stuff excluded?

I used a header with my name and LSDAS number and a footer with page X of Y
this way they have no excuses
